Tutorial: How to Faux the Best Facial Glow
I don’t know about you, but I just love Springtime. It’s so refreshing, transformative + full of hope. I love finally getting outside + getting that fresh Spring air.
But you know what’s NOT so hopeful about Spring? — our skin!
Mother Nature has just done a doozy on our skin, leaving it super dry + beat up from the winter. It’s dingy + unlike outside, not so refreshed. Yet all of these ailments aside, it’s SPRING. Our cozy layers are slowly starting to come off, showing more + more skin + we’re READY already for that summertime glow.
So what’s a babe to do?
Fake it till you make it Sister.
And this includes our face!
I have super dry, super fair skin. And most of the time when babes ask me how I have such good skin, it’s honestly just the right products, applied the right way, that are doing the right things lol. So take it from me, I have the best 3 products to faux that glow anytime, anywhere. Here’s what you do:
Exfoliate the night before + in the morning, start out with clean skin. Apply your antioxidant serum + spf, then….
Works like a charm. A glowing, healthy skin charm that is :)
Here are the 3 superstar products I swear by, all clean of course:
You should know:
Drunk Elephant Drops are a triple threat. Gives you a fake little tan, helps with fine lines + wrinkles, + builds up your skin’s barrier to environmental aggressors like pollution. Which is V important now adays. Be sure to mix this sunshine-in-a-bottle with your moisturizer or serum. It is too pigmented to apply alone. Don’t forget your neck + chest!
Cover FX Drops are so so good! I received this as a sample + have been obsessed ever since. This enhancer is exactly that — enhances that dewy look all over (when mixed with your foundation) or enhances your highlight (when used alone in areas you’d like strobing). These drops are completely customizable + buildable. For all skin types.
Beautycounter Luminous Powder is made with butterpowder so unlike other highlighters, it lays down really nicely on your skin. I like to use powder highlighter when I have sparkle + glow mixed in all over (as opposed to a cream). There’s a fine line between glowing goddess + total grease ball. The highlighter palette you see here was a Beautycounter Holiday item. But the highlighter above is very similar + you won’t miss the yellow highlight at all. I don’t even use that one. ALSO the little mirror pops out to be repurposed (carry it in your purse) when you’ve finished the highlighter! 🙌🏼
Transitioning from winter to summer skin means going from pasty to dewy fresh. And this can be frustrating at times. But with these 3 products, I’m confident you’ll have a pep in your step in no time! Let me know if you try any of these, or have any spring recs for glowing skin!
