2024 Climate Week NYC Recap

 

KEY HIGHLIGHTS CONFIRMED THIS WEEK:

  • The absolute importance of media for integrating climate throughout society.

  • Climate doesn’t have to be the whole storyline (like a documentary) for these societal shifts to happen, it can be casually integrated too.

  • Casual integration (like replacing plastic water bottles with reusables) includes shows, news and films - PLUS simple acts to work climate into daily conversation by just… being and caring.

  • We need all forms of change, though when it comes to society as a whole, non-radical ways can often spark sustainable, radical change.

I’m pleased to report there was less single-use waste, more recycling/upcycling and loads of dogs.
