Now, I’ve always been a car person but honestly, I’ve never been THAT impressed with any of the electric cars that have been on the market. They’re either slow, too plain on the interior, way too expensive, or they’re aesthetically UNpleasing, and I have a major issue about where those lithium batteries go at the end of their life cycles.

So when Jaguar asked me to help share the I-PACE with you, I pretty much fell out of my chair because THIS is the exact electric car I want. And I flat out knew that YOU would love it, too.

Here are my favorite I-PACE features:

  • Battery - A full charge, which takes just 85 minutes, lasts 234 miles

  • Performance - Still drives like a Jaguar with acceleration reaching 60 mph in 4.5 seconds

  • Power - Double engine is similar to technology found in the I-TYPE Formula E racing car

  • Interior - Has all the bells and whistles of its gas guzzling sisters, which includes eco mode to automatically conserve battery :)

  • End of Life - Customers have the option to recycle their old I-PACE and the exterior materials (aluminum) will be used to build their new I-PACE. Jaguar also properly recycles the lithium battery and is currently testing a second life program where these batteries will help power third world countries

  • Alignment - The I-PACE features inserts made from upcycled plastic bottles. And moving forward, all Jaguar vehicles will be designed in a start of the art facility that runs off 100% renewable energy

  • And just LOOK at her! She looks like the Jaguar we all know and covet

No wonder the I-PACE won 2019 World Car of the Year, World Green Car of the Year AND World Car Design of the Year!

So if you’re wondering why the I-PACES shown here are decorated for Christmas, good eye! That’s because Jaguar partnered up with HGTV’s resident interior designer, Jonathan Scott, to design and sustainably wrap a fleet of I-PACES in celebration of the big sweepstakes. In fact, this festive fleet will be driving around NYC and LA all month long to remind you to enter to win (big time)!

Jaguar also threw a little event here in LA to kick off the Sweepstakes Celebration called Unwrap A Jaguar, where I was lucky enough to sit down with Jonathan and ask him a few questions about sustainability. Hint: he is a role model for reducing one’s carbon footprint.

It can still fit in with your every day life. It doesn’t have to make you miss a beat. And in this case, it’ll make you go faster!
